Mosab K. launched Baba'z Grill in August 2018 to serve San Diego's halal community with 100% fresh, never-frozen ingredients prepared from scratch daily. The University Avenue spot quickly became a late-night destination, buzzing until 4 AM with diverse crowds craving their Chicken Fajita Pizza—grilled chicken, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and corn with southwest sauce. The intimate eight-seat space creates unexpected connections between strangers waiting for their food, turning the relaxed pace into a social experience.
