Lauren Passero-Brookes opened The Haven in 2020, naming it after a series of underground tunnels from the early 1900s that once ran beneath Kensington. After success with Kensington Cafe starting in 2012, she expanded into inventive pizza territory, partnering with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a menu that refuses to be ordinary. The Cortezâolive oil, candied bacon, tomatoes, gorgonzola, topped with fresh avocado and arugulaâexemplifies this creative approach.
