Brannon and Stephanie opened Fresco Pizzeria in Torrey Highlands back in 2011, bringing authentic New York-style pizza to San Diego's northern suburbs. This family-owned neighborhood spot radiates warmth from the moment you walk in—hand-tossed dough prepared in the open kitchen, 16 local craft beers on tap, and that unmistakable thin-crust fold that defines proper NYC pizza. Their spacious patio features fire pits and welcomes dogs, making it the kind of place where locals gather for casual dinners and weekend happy hours. Daily happy hour from 2:30-5:30pm takes 20% off all beer, wine, and appetizers, with extended hours on Thursdays until 8:30pm. No awards necessary when regulars call it "the best pizza in SD."
