About
Siblings Gina and Vince Marsaglia founded Pizza Port in Solana Beach back in March 1987, adding craft beer in 1992 after Vince's home-brewing experiments in the storage area paid off spectacularly. The result? The most decorated craft brewery in Great American Beer Festival history with 100+ medals since 1994, Small Brewpub of the Year honors in 2003 and 2004, and five World Beer Cup gold medals. Their Ocean Beach location, which opened in 2010, carries forward that legacy of marrying California-style pizza with award-winning craft brews. Pizza Port helped lead San Diego County to prominence in the craft brewing industry's "second wave," and today's crowds—families, beer fans, and surfers alike—fill the dog-friendly patio for a combination few pizzerias can match: 25 house-brewed beers plus 25 guest taps alongside California pizzas like the bacon-loaded Ocean Beach and the shrimp-topped Pizza Solana.
