Jeff Oliveri spent 25 years in corporate America dreaming of honoring his family's restaurant legacy. His father, born in Palermo in 1914, survived WWII as a POW before opening Italian eateries in LA and San Diego. In 2020, Jeff opened Tavola Nostra—"our table"—bringing family recipes and Pinsa Romana to Hillcrest. After training in Rome to become a certified Originale Pinsa Romana chef, Jeff introduced San Diego to this ancient Roman pizza style for the first time. The 12-inch handmade pies feature EZZO pepperoni and 24-month aged Prosciutto di Parma. The cozy patio with heat lamps and fire pit seats 25, perfect for happy hour with $4.50 craft beers and $6 Italian wines. Family-friendly warmth meets date-night romance.
