Sicilian-born chef Vincenzo Loverso took over the former Farmer's Table space in March 2024 and completely rebranded it into Vincenzo Cucina & Lounge, bringing his decades of San Diego restaurant experience to Little Italy's Piazza della Famiglia. Loverso co-owns San Diego Dining Group alongside Alessandro Minutella, operating Greystone The Steakhouse, Osetra The Fishhouse, and Osteria Panevino, but Vincenzo stands apart with San Diego's only dedicated Cheese Wheel Pasta Bar featuring six incredible wheel options where skilled chefs toss fresh pasta into halved cheese wheels tableside. The large patio wraps around the building overlooking the piazza, perfect for people-watching under bright orange Aperol Spritz umbrellas. Pizza plays a supporting role to the pasta spectacle, with traditional options like Margherita and Alla Vodka with prosciutto, while the real show happens at candlelit tables during piano nights. Monday through Friday happy hour (5-7pm) features handcrafted cocktails, local brews, and wine, all served in a lively, romantic atmosphere with pinstriped walls and a lounge vibe that whisks you to an Italian city street.
